Dialogue

Iran is going to be referred to the security council.

I: This is terrible. I'm dead scared of the future.

He: Don't worry. It's better that things get cleared. How long should Iran bribe Russia and China.

I: Sanctions will paralyze the country. Another Iraq of 90s.

He: It's different. It will fall down from within the system in Iran.

I: Sanctions usually kill reforms and make dictators more powerful. Look at North Korea or Saddam in 90s. The price of change will be definitely higher now.

He: How long you're going to wait for reform and slow change. this is the start of the end of this regime. and don't forget these guys will sacrifice anything for the sake of their power. So, in they'll give up easier now in council.

I: But they may sacrifice more of people's capital for the sake of their power. Now they should even bribe more. A vote in security council has higher value than a vote in IAEA board

I'm anything but optimist about Iran.

30 years old

I reached it some minutes ago!

What are my dilemas tonight:
1. The class that I'm teaching tomorrow :)
2. Iran
3. My family and a few friends
4. My research and future of my work in the PhD school.

What are my dreams:
1. Peace of mind even for a short period.
2. Having a stable circle of friends who are not planning to move to another town soon!
3. A vacation that I can forget every dilema, relax in a way that later I can say I enjoyed every minute of it.
4. Conducting an orchestra.
5. Visiting: Prague, Italy, Spain when I'm in state of number 3!
6. Seeing Ennio Morricone when he's conducting The Mission.
6. Seeing Itzahk Perlman, playing Schindler's list
7. Enjoying what I do (even when I read politics and news).

new year, new semester, ...

Happy new year! The holidays season flew quickly and now I'm fully occupied with my first teaching experience. It should be a good chance to see how much I really like teaching which is an important part of the academic life.

Too many things to read and catch up these days. Gotta go for now.
