Academic Integrity

America is the capital of science today. Just this year, the country won the Nobel prize for Chemistry, Physics, Medicine & Economics all together with no real media buzz (Just imagine how would it be in other parts of the world if they win one Nobel Prize).
And from the same country here is a long but very interesting story about academic integrity. I admire the young researcher who fights with his highly profiled boss to preserve the intellectual importance of science. This is something admireable about both individuals and institutions in America: No one has a white check to cash. If the evidence is strong, it doesn't matter who the person is. There is someone brave there that goes all the way to kick his butt.
